There&#8217;s .1 and .12 and .112 and an infinite collection of others. Of course, there is a bigger infinite set of numbers between 0 and 2, or between 0 and a million. Some infinities are bigger than other infinities. A writer we used to like taught us that. There are days, many of them, when I resent the size of my unbounded set.<\/p><p>I want more numbers than I&#8217;m likely to get, and God, I want more numbers for Augustus Waters than he got. But, Gus, my love, I cannot tell you how thankful I am for our little infinity. I wouldn&#8217;t trade it for the world. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our dark-ness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, &#8216;Who am I to be bril-liant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?&#8217;<\/p><p>Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won&#8217;t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do.<\/p><p>We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It&#8217;s not just in some of us; it&#8217;s in everyone. And as we let our own<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-54c5164f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"54c5164f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. You aren\u2019t either, and the two of you will never be perfect. But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold onto him and give him the most you can. He isn\u2019t going to quote poetry, he\u2019s not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break. Don\u2019t hurt him, don\u2019t change him, and don\u2019t expect for more than he can give. Don\u2019t analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he\u2019s not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. We need never be hopeless, because we can never be irreparably broken.<\/p><p>We think that we are invincible because we are. We cannot be born, and we cannot die. Like all energy, we can only change shapes and sizes and manifestations. They forget that when they get old. They get scared of losing and failing. But I was beginning to believe that a very few times in your life, if you were lucky, you might meet someone who was exactly right for you.
